John Strah, CPA – Owner (Since 2008)

Graduated from Cleveland State University – BS in Accounting in 1987 & a MBA from Purdue University in 1988. John is a CPA with over 30 years’ experience within various Accounting/Finance roles in the healthcare and health insurance industries prior to starting Strah & Associates in 2008.  Enjoys spending time with family and watching sports. John & his wife Kendra reside in Copley and have three adult children.

Darrell Klotz – Accountant & Tax Preparer (Since 2002)

Darrell graduated from Stark State College with an Associate Degree in Accounting in 1983 followed by earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1986 from The University of Akron. He has been with the firm since 2002 responsible for various duties such as accounting and financial statement preparation for business clients, sales and payroll tax return preparation as well as corporate and individual income tax preparation. Darrell lives with his wife Linda and daughter in Copley and enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, travel and is active in his church.

Bonnie Lewton – Payroll Manager & Tax Preparer (Since 2006)

Bonnie completed her B.S. in Business/Accounting in 2006 and her M.B.A. in 2007 from the University of Phoenix. She is the Payroll Manager while also specializing in both corporate and personal income tax returns. Bonnie thoroughly enjoys spending time with three daughters and her grandchild and in her spare time enjoys gardening.

Graduated from Hiram College with a BS in Management in 2005 & an MS in Accounting from University of Notre Dame in 2010. Ally brings her 5+ years of work experience from Public accounting & audit prior to joining our staff. She handles bookkeeping, accounting and preparation of individual and business tax returns and works part-time during tax season. Enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and doing crossword puzzles.

Graduated from University of Dayton with both a BS in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting & Finance followed by an MBA with an Accounting concentration. Melanie handles bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation of individual and business tax returns on a part-time basis.  Melanie’s prior work experience includes 4 + years of Public Accounting & Audit prior to starting her family at which time she stepped away from the profession for a time. Graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Organizational Communication and HR Management in 1988.  Brings 8+ years of HR Generalist experience along with office administration background. Kendra provides office and HR support to all offices. Enjoys family time, spending time with her Chocolate Lab, watching sports especially volleyball, and staying active.
